Planting & Care

• Position: Highly adaptable. Thrives in full sun to partial shade, but tolerates full shade well although it will produce more flowers in brighter positions.


• Soil: Prefers fertile, moist, well-draining soil and grows comfortably in clay, loam, or chalk.


• Pruning: Low maintenance. Simply trim back overgrown shoots with hand shears in late spring right after the final winter flowers fade to maintain shape.


• Planting Distance: For a tight, formal evergreen hedge, space plants 60 cm to 90 cm apart 


• Mature Height: 1.5 to 2.5 metres


• Mature Spread: 1.5 to 2.5 metres
