Planting & Care Instructions

• Position: Highly adaptable. Thrives in full sun, partial shade or even full shade.


• Soil: Grows successfully in almost all soil conditions including clay and chalk as long as it is well-draining. It dislikes permanently waterlogged ground.


• Pruning: Prune once a year in late spring or late summer to keep it at your preferred size. 


• Safety Note: Like all cherry laurels, the foliage and berries are toxic if ingested. 


• Plant Spacing: Plant every 50cm-60cm for a thick hedge


• Mature Height: 4m-5m but easily kept with pruning once a year


• Mature Spread: 2.5m-3m usually kept tight with a regular prune
