Thymus praecox 'Purple Beauty' is an ultra-low, mat-forming evergreen perennial famous for transforming into a dense, solid carpet of vivid purple-pink blossoms in summer, it features tiny, dark green leaves that are woolly and release a classic, pungent, and sharp herbal thyme aroma when stepped on or crushed. Offers a highly concentrated, robust, and traditional earthy thyme flavor with subtle minty/savory undercurrents. It is more intensely herbal than the citrus varieties. It requires full sun but thrives on poor, sandy or gritty soils.
