You've all seen it...that blue thing growing over the walls!! It's called Aubreita and it is a low growing, evergreen, perennial which forms a carpet of flowers often seen at the front of a border or tumbling unashamedly down a wall. Aubretia is fully hardy and flowers best in a sunny spot but will grow in semi shade, preferring well drained soil but will tolerate dry conditions. It is an easy growing plant that can be neatly trimmed after flowering giving it a chance to grow strongly for the following year.
